Set up the Event Server Plugin

In the Server Plugin for Events, you identify all the calendars that you want to make available through Ellucian Mobile. You can add all your institution's current calendars. You will then assign these calendars to one or more Events modules.

Procedure

  1. Expand the Configuration that you want to update, and then click Server Plugins.
  2. In the Server Plugins list, click Event.
  3. On the Event Calendars page, click Add Calendar.
  4. Type a name for the calendar.
  5. If you want the calendar name to be displayed as the event category in Ellucian Mobile, select the Use Calendar Name as Category check box.
    Each event in the iCalendar file can have a different category assigned to it. This check box tells Ellucian Mobile to override the category for each event in this iCalendar file. Because users can filter events based on the event categories, it is easier for them to filter out all items in this calendar if all the events in this calendar use the same event category.
  6. Type or paste the fully formed URL of the iCalendar file.
  7. Repeat steps 3 through 6 for each calendar that you want to add. When you are done adding calendars, click Save.
