ILP Module

Colleague and Banner institutions that use the Ellucian Intelligent Learning Platform (ILP) can make information from supported learning management systems available to students through Ellucian Mobile. With ILP, students can view class assignments, events, and activities on their devices.

All ILP setup must be complete before the ILP-related information can appear in Ellucian Mobile.

Prerequisites

You must have ILP 4.2 or later installed and running at your institution.

For Banner, integration with ILP requires the Banner Student API. For the required version and other API requirements, see Banner Student API.

For Colleague, nothing additional is required beyond the basic Ellucian Mobile prerequisites.

Users' view of the ILP module

The ILP module gives students access to class assignments, events, and activities on their devices. Students can access the information in the following ways:

  • By opening the ILP module within Ellucian GO.
  • By opening the Courses module in Ellucian GO and tapping ILP-related menu tabs for specific courses.
  • By using the Assignments widget on their device without opening Ellucian GO.
  • By using their Apple Watch to access assignment information.

When students open the ILP module on their devices, Ellucian GO displays the Today view. The Today view shows the following:

  • Assignments that are due today or that are currently overdue.
  • Today’s events.
  • Current announcements.

Students can tap any item to view details about the item. They can also tap the alarm clock icon, which allows them to set a reminder for their assignment by creating a calendar entry on their device. iOS users can alternatively add an entry to the iOS Reminders application.

Students can tap the Assignments, Today’s Events, or Announcements headings to open the List view for that type of item. The List views display all incomplete assignments, all events, and all announcements that fall within the date range covered by Ellucian Mobile. See “(Optional) Adjust date settings for ILP information” for information about the default date ranges and how you can modify them.
