(Optional) Support for SQL Server and Oracle databases

As delivered, Ellucian Mobile stores your configuration information in an H2 datasource on the Tomcat server.

As an alternative, you can set up a dedicated SQL Server or Oracle database to store your Ellucian Mobile configuration. This is required if you want to use multiple Mobile Integration Servers for load balancing or redundancy purposes. See Set up new Mobile Integration Server web applications, for more information.

Follow one of the three tasks below to set up a SQL Server or Oracle database for Ellucian Mobile depending on the current state of your implementation:

Task Situation
Set up a new configuration on SQL Server or Oracle Use this method if you are setting up Ellucian Mobile for the first time or upgrading from an earlier version but do not need to keep any previous configurations.
Migrate an existing configuration to a new SQL Server or Oracle database Use this method if you have an existing configuration that is published to Ellucian GO that you want to move to SQL Server or Oracle. This method minimizes downtime for your users.
